Our Services

Health and Wellbeing

Fatima Women’s Association is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of disadvantaged women, young people, and their children by creating safe, supportive spaces where they can access the help they need. Many of those we work with experience isolation, poor physical or mental health, and in some cases domestic abuse. Through our holistic approach, we offer pathways to rebuild confidence, strengthen emotional resilience, and promote positive lifestyle changes. Our work centres on compassion, dignity, and empowerment, ensuring every individual feels seen, valued, and supported throughout their journey.

To achieve this, we provide a wide variety of educational, social, and leisure opportunities designed to enhance physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. This includes wellbeing workshops, fitness activities, awareness sessions, creative programmes, peer support groups, and opportunities for personal development. By bringing people together in a welcoming community setting, we reduce isolation, encourage healthy habits, and offer meaningful experiences that help women and families improve their quality of life. Through collaboration, encouragement, and consistent support, we aim to equip individuals with the tools and confidence they need to lead healthier, happier, and more independent lives.

Older Women’s Sessions

Our Older Women’s Sessions take place every Wednesday from 10:30am to 1:30pm and offer a friendly, supportive space for women to connect, learn, and unwind. Each week features a different topical discussion, activity, or wellbeing-focused session designed to encourage conversation, build confidence, and support emotional and social wellbeing. Whether it’s engaging in creative activities, exploring community issues, or simply enjoying good company, these sessions provide a valuable opportunity for women to spend time together in a safe and welcoming environment.

After the activities, participants are invited to share a light lunch, creating a warm, community feel that has made these sessions one of our most popular weekly programmes. Many women attend regularly, while others drop in whenever they can, everyone is welcome at any time of the year. The sessions promote connection, reduce isolation, and offer a consistent place where older women can feel valued, heard, and part of a supportive community.
